Review: Longman & Eagle (Logan Square - Chicago)
L&E is in a nondescript building. The front bar and dining area is dark but the back dining area is nice and airy.
I ordered Toast with Housemade Preserves & Whipped Butter and Housemade Breakfast Sausage. This toast was not your usually store bought bread. It was very tasty as was the sausage.

Review: Walker Bros, the original pancake house
Hidden in the trees of a non descript Lincolnshire Corporate Center, you will find Walker Bros.
I had two chocolate crepes with strawberries, hot chocolate and three thick bacon strips for $15.16.
Each bite of the crepes had some nice semisweet chocolate. On this saturday, hot chocolate was nice but nothing special. The bacon was non-greasy crisp and very good tasting.

Review: Egg Harbor Cafe
Forturenately I still have a job. Unfortunaly I have only been able to travel to one suburban restaurant per weekend. This saturday morning I had breakfast at Egg Harbor Cafe in Lincolnshire. The decor is industrial country chicken. Crowded but not full. Nice friendly college age waitstaff. I had fresh squeezed orange juice, duck bacon and a cinnamon roll french toast.
The bacon was applewood smoked thick duck bacon. It tasted as good as any applewood smoked pork bacon but it didn’t have the striped appearance as regular bacon. The french toast was a cinnamon roll cut in the slices and cooked like regular french toast. Very good.
